The New York Rangers is one of the Original Six teams in the National Hockey League (NHL). They have been a part of the league since 1962 Since they first started, the team was evidently a team to watch. They won the American Division title on their very first year playing. The team's success early on in the game gained them a huge fan base. They were the first team to have been on a plane to play against the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1929. The Rangers is the first American NHL franchise that won the Stanley Cup. The sale of the Rangers ticket was cutthroat when the Rangers won their first Stanley Cup in 1927-1928 season. The team defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs for their second Stanley Cup in 1932-1933. The third Stanley Cup for the Rangers in season 1939-1940 was not as easily achieved as before. The first two games were held in the Madison Square Garden in New York, and the rest of the games were played in Toronto. The Rangers played against the Leafs and managed to win by overtime.

After the third Stanley Cup win of the Rangers, they stumbled into a losing streak. hey missed the playoffs in 12 of the 16 years. It was dubbed as the Curse of the 1940. The fourth Stanley Cup for the Team was won in 1993-1994 season when Keenan led the team to win the Cup. This brought back all the hype regarding the Rangers tickets.

Fans were pleasantly surprised to see that the curse has been broken and once again they can see their favorite team play.
